Thanks to a sponsorship by SOUTHWICK Specialty Advertising, artwork from Alma de la Melena Cox, and coffee and cocoa from Di Lusso Bakery Cafe, the Saving Grace booth at Winterfest 2009 was a complete success! We were able to raise awareness as well as $1,350!
On a cold weekend in February, Saving Grace staff and volunteers worked the Winterfest booth where we talked to hundreds of people about our services. Many signed up to be Saving Grace E-News Insiders, asked questions about domestic violence and sexual assault, and a few even became volunteers.
The raffle for Sacred Spaces took place Sunday at 2pm when board member Jerri drew the name of a Saving Grace supporter. The winner, Terianne, was thrilled to receive the beutiful telamadera fusion piece. For those of you who did not win, you can check out Alma's work at www.almaart.com.
