Saving Grace - Imagine Life without Violence

Be a Saving Grace: Volunteer Today!

Saving Grace was begun as a grassroots organization in 1977 by volunteers dedicated to helping domestic and sexual violence survivors in Central Oregon. We continue to be able to serve survivors of abuse with the help of our staff and dedicated volunteers.

The mission of Saving Grace is to provide comprehensive family violence and sexual assault services and to promote the value of living life free from violence. In addition to providing domestic violence and sexual assault services, Saving Grace provides community education to break the cycle of violence. We serve a population of 186,000 from offices located in Crook, Deschutes, and Jefferson Counties.

Each year, between 250 to 300 women and children stay at our shelter and nearly 4,200 individuals receive services from Saving Grace. Volunteers and staff answer nearly 2,500 calls to the crisis line. Families receive shelter, emotional support and assistance throughout the tri-county region. Volunteers are an important part of our success in reaching out and helping others.

We welcome both women and men to become involved. To learn more, check out our Direct Service and Support Service opportunities.
