In Central Oregon, families experiencing intimate partner violence have a Bend-based resource in the heart of downtown: Mary’s Place, which provides a safe and neutral location for child custody exchanges and visitations for families experiencing domestic violence. This Saving Grace fundraiser supports our 2nd Annual Camp Mary’s Place — a special, healing weekend for Mary’s Place families.
This fundraiser provides food, beverages, live music and stories highlighting the benefits of Saving Grace services.
$100 per couple or $55 per individual. Space is limited so purchase your tickets early!
Camp Mary’s Place is a 3-day experience that allows for families to spend uninterrupted time together, as well as time with other families who have experienced similar circumstances. They relate to and encourage one another, while their children just get to be kids in the great outdoors. They enjoy activities, art projects and downtime around the campfire. Everything is provided for campers, including backpacks full of supplies and goodies.

Chef Garrett Northway, a graduate from the Iowa Culinary Institute in 2018 and member of the American Culinary Federation, has had a life long passion for food. Growing up in a rural farming community in Iowa, he has always had a connection with where his food and nutrition comes from. He emphasizes the farm to table movement and focuses on producing dishes sourcing local and seasonal ingredients. His cuisine has a heavy French influence, utilizing only fresh and high quality components, showcasing different flavor profiles throughout each bite. Having worked in many different aspects of the food industry, including a Pastry Chef and Sushi Chef, it has given him the ability to be versed in many different areas. When Garrett is not enjoying food & cooking, you can find him out in nature absorbing all the beauty Oregon has to offer!
