Fall 2019 Training Schedule

Do you want to empower others and help end sexual violence in your community?  Volunteer with Saving Grace!

In this in-depth training you will be guided through foundational topics for anti-violence work, such as Oppression, Dynamics of Intimate Partner Violence, and Violence Prevention. Afterwards you will have the opportunity to choose more specialized trainings that focus on skills needed for specific volunteer opportunities, like answering helpline calls or responding to hospital patients, so that you feel prepared to advocate for and empower Saving Grace clients. Participating in training is no small time commitment, but we hear from current volunteers that the rewards of learning, and doing the volunteer work, are more than worth the investment.

We ask a $75 donation (waiver possible) and 1 year commitment, with an average of 4 shifts a month, for hopeful volunteers wanting to take the training.  We ask $150 for folks taking the training without the intention of volunteering for Saving Grace.
