Healthy Relationships
Healthy Relationship learning applies to everyone regardless of gender identity, sexual orientation or relationship status. Healthy relationships presentations are part of the saving Grace teen- dating violence prevention curriculum. Presentations are targeted towards high school- aged youth in Deschutes, Crook and Jefferson County. Presentations are conducted in health/wellness classes in public and private schools as well as in alternative settings. Healthy Relationships presentations are adapted from the evidence-based curriculum: Safe Dates. Lessons have been updated and adapted to meet the needs of today’s high school-aged youth and Oregon Department of Education Health Education Standards. Healthy Relationships One and Two are available and consist of two 60- minute sessions. Optimal results are seen when the curriculum is presented throughout 4 presentations over two years. However, the curriculum can be adapted to meet teachers and scheduling needs. The curriculum is presented by qualified Victims Services Program staff, presentations are given with a trauma informed approach, and are adaptable to meet various learning needs.
