Overnight Weekend Shelter Advocate
Saving Grace is currently hiring an Part-time Overnight Weekend Advocate based at our shelter in Bend. The Advocate will provide direct services to domestic and sexual violence survivors, including crisis counseling, legal advocacy, helpline support, resources and referrals. The Advocate will also work with law enforcement and area hospitals to provide crisis response. Bilingual (English/Spanish) a plus, with 5% wage differential.
Candidate must be reliable, able to work independently and multitask, able to organize program details, and able to work under stress and respond effectively to crisis situations. Social services-related lived or learned experience required. This position is On-site - in our shelter in Bend.
Required Hours: 16 hours a weekend and a regularly scheduled on-call shift compensated at an on-call rate of 2 hours plus any engaged time.
Saturday – on call shift - 12 am – 8 am. Remote, local in Bend, compensated at an on-call rate of 2 hours plus any engaged time.
Sunday - 12:00 am – 8:00 am - at our shelter in Bend
Monday – 12:00 am – 8:00 am – at our shelter in Bend
Position is part time, un-benefitted, $22.94/hr (includes shift differential) plus 5% bilingual differential if applicable, depending on experience.
