
Recovery Advocate
Full Time
Saving Grace seeks a Recovery Support Advocate. This position will provide direct services to intimate partner violence, sexual assault, stalking and human trafficking survivors as needed. The role will also provide follow-up services to referred clients, with focus on safety, shelter & housing, crisis counseling and supporting survivors through addiction recovery. This position will maintain best practices, relationships with recovery programs in Central Oregon, and provide technical assistance to direct service staff regarding intersections of DV/SA and addiction.
Skills needed include: excellent interpersonal skills with individuals from a variety of backgrounds and cultures, experience providing training and/or education, understanding of how racism, sexism and other oppressions impact survivors of abuse; ability to work independently, a sense of humor, ability to work under stress and respond effectively to crisis situations.
Candidates should have one to two years working in intimate partner violence, public health or related social services experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and lived experience.
Saving Grace does not have any degree or educational requirements or expectations.
