Weekend Shelter
Advocate
Saving Grace is currently hiring a Weekend Advocate based at our shelter in Bend. The Advocate will provide direct services to domestic and sexual violence survivors, including crisis counseling, legal advocacy, helpline support, resources and referrals. The Advocate will also work with law enforcement and area hospitals to provide crisis response. Bilingual (English/Spanish) a plus, with 5% wage differential.
Candidate must be reliable, able to multitask, able to organize program details, and able to work under stress and respond effectively to crisis situations. Social services-related lived or learned experience required. This position is 100% On-site - in our shelter in Bend.
Required 26 hours per week:
Thursdays – Flexible hours
Saturday and Sundays– 12:00 pm – 8:00 pm
Mondays – Flexible hours
Shift possibilities on the weekends (so flexibility is a plus!)
Shifts as needed for coverage for other staff members are:
Weekends – 8:00 am – 4:00 pm or 4:00 pm – 12:00 am.
Position is part time, 26 hours per week, $21.85/hr plus 5% bilingual differential if applicable, depending on experience, plus generous benefit package.
