Saving Grace is currently hiring a 26 hour/week Shelter Advocate for the weekend.

The Weekend Advocate will provide direct services to domestic and sexual violence survivors, including crisis counseling, legal advocacy, helpline support, resources and referrals. The Advocate will also work with law enforcement and area hospitals to provide crisis response. Bilingual (English/Spanish) a plus, with 5% wage differential. Much of this position is answering our day-time HelpLine.

Saving Grace does not have any degree or educational requirements or expectations.

Candidate must be reliable, able to multitask, able to organize program details, and able to work under stress and respond effectively to crisis situations. Social services-related lived or learned experience required. This position is 100% On-site - in our shelter in Bend.

Required Hours are Thursday through Sunday - daytime shifts

Thursday and Friday – some flexibility in times

Thursdays – 5 hours to include Team meetings at 1:30 pm

Friday – 5 hours to include 12:30 pm – 5:00 pm coverage

Saturday and Sunday - 8:00 am - 4:00 pm shift

Position is part time, $21.85+/hr  plus 5% shift differential, depending on experience, plus generous benefit package.
